Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

The Inventory Logistics Manager oversees the organization's inventory control function, directing the staff responsible for the receipt, storage, tracking, and usage of all inventory items. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, timely resolution of discrepancies, and physical accountability for the company's inventory, while managing and developing the Inventory Specialist and Inventory Assistant. The Inventory Logistics Manager prepares and reviews inventory reporting and drives continuous improvement in inventory processes, systems, and controls.

Reports to: Program Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervises, schedules, and directs the daily work of the Inventory Specialist and Inventory Assistant, ensuring adequate coverage and workload balance.
• Reviews and approves inventory reports prepared by the Inventory Specialist and Inventory Assistant.
• Establishes and enforces inventory control policies and procedures, ensuring accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
• Owns and maintains the inventory management system, leading upgrades, integrations, and process improvements to the related database and/or software.
• Plans and oversees periodic and spot physical inventory audits, reconciling results and resolving discrepancies with the Controller as needed.
• Prepares monthly inventory reports and reconciliations for the Controller to ensure all inventory is accounted for at each month end.
• Works with the Accounting Department to ensure that all inventory costs are properly assigned to correct projects and grant funding.
• Coordinates with construction crews and project managers to ensure the right inventory is available for scheduled jobs, and reviews construction prints to confirm correct materials usage.
• Oversees daily inventory analysis performed by staff, ensuring discrepancies and problems are identified, investigated, and resolved promptly.
• Maintains oversight of the stock item master sheet, ensuring descriptions and stock numbers are accurate and corrected as errors are identified.
• Responsible for Supervisor Review step in the PO system.
• Oversees PO processing and the full purchasing workflow, including ordering, receiving, shipment tracking, licensing distribution, and vendor contact management.
• Oversees storage and tracking of loaner equipment and the RMA process, ensuring accurate records and timely resolution.
• Oversees coordination of shipping to customers and vendors, and resolution of tickets involving ordering or inventory.
• Sets department goals and milestones, and monitors performance of direct reports against them.
• Hires, trains, mentors, and evaluates inventory staff, supporting their professional development.
• Serves as the primary point of escalation for complex inventory discrepancies, vendor issues, or process exceptions.
• Oversees inventory operations across all company warehouse and field locations throughout the state, ensuring consistent inventory controls, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
• Performs other related duties as requested.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills with employees, other departments, and outside vendors.
• Strong working knowledge of inventory control procedures, policies, and best practices.
• Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop staff.
• Proficient computer and keyboarding skills, including experience with computerized inventory systems.
• Extremely organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with outside vendors.
• Strong analytical and basic math skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of inventory policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations required, including prior experience supervising staff.
• Experience with computerized inventory systems required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
