Jobtailor in Houston, TX seeks an Inventory and Logistics Assistant to manage receiving, stocking, and shipping activities. You will maintain accurate records, perform regular stock counts, and coordinate with suppliers for inbound and outbound shipments.

You will assist in server rack setup and cable management to support technical teams. Responsibilities include document preparation, safety adherence, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
• Proficiency in using basic office software.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Familiarity with forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming inventory, including racks & trays, networking equipment, and other hardware.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation for all items received and shipped.
• Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
• Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipments.
• Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with the disposal of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill inventory and logistics needs.
• Complete other duties that may be assigned as required.
• Assist in the setup and installation of computer server racks according to provided instructions.
• Help in assembly of server racks.
• Support senior technicians in cable management and organization within the server racks.
