Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an entry-level Inventory/Logistics Assistant to receive, inspect, and record all inventory, maintain accurate records, and coordinate shipments. You will perform stock counts, use basic software, and assist with server rack setup under guidance.

The role emphasizes safety, proper lifting techniques, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support data center operations and logistics needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software, as well as proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
• The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
• Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks

Responsibilities

• Receive and record all incoming inventory accurately
• Maintain inventory records and documentation for items received and shipped
• Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments
• Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipments
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness
• Transport inventory using pallet jacks safely
• Keep storerooms and docks clean and organized
• Assist with setting up server racks per provided instructions
• Support senior technicians with cable management in server racks
