Job summary

Teledyne Relays, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, seeks a Shipping Clerk to manage receiving, stocking, and issuing materials for manufacturing. You will ensure accurate ERP transactions, proper kitting, and timely delivery to work centers, while maintaining strict inventory accuracy and a clean stockroom.

The role requires 2+ years in material handling, experience with ERP/MRP systems, and proficiency with MS Office; ITAR compliance is mandatory for all candidates.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR restrictions.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in material handling, stockroom, inventory control, kitting, production control, or related manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience picking and kitting materials from BOMs, work orders, or production pick lists is preferred.
• Experience using an ERP/MRP system; Infor/MAPICS experience is highly desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience using barcode scanners or similar inventory-control technology is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs, part numbers, inventory documentation, and production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials from Receiving Inspection and verify quantities, part numbers, descriptions, and documentation.
• Perform ERP inventory transactions: receipts, transfers, issues, returns, and other movements.
• Stock materials in designated locations using FIFO and proper material handling.
• Pick and kit materials according to MOs, BOMs, and production schedules with correct part numbers and quantities.
• Stage and deliver kits and materials to manufacturing areas per schedule priorities.
• Identify shortages or discrepancies and communicate with Purchasing, Planning, or supervision.
• Maintain accurate inventory via daily cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper traceability and identification of material, including lot-controlled inventory.
• Keep stockroom organized, clean and safe per procedures and 5S.
• Support periodic inventories, audits, and other materials functions as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and material flow.
