Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Shipping Clerk to manage shipping, receiving, and storage of materials and equipment. The role involves preparing shipments, verifying orders, maintaining stock records, and supporting inventory accuracy in a warehouse environment.

The position requires 1–2 years of shipping/stockroom experience, basic math and computer skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Forklift operation may be required, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in shipping & stockroom practices and procedures.
• Basic reading, writing, and communication in English.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Basic computer skills and use of scales - shipping, packing, weighing equipment.
• A High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment to include recording and maintaining shipping data.
• Follow shipping policy and procedures, responsible for preparing UPS, Federal Express and other carrier shipment documents.
• Follows receiving procedure for incoming materials.
• Verifies and identifies information and quantities against packing slip and purchase orders; counts items and indicates discrepancies.
• Enters incoming receipt of materials in database upon completion and verification of physical counts.
• Reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Assists with maintaining accuracy of stockroom inventory.
• Kits work orders and fills shortages.
• May perform other duties as assigned by Shipping Supervisor.
