Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Material Controller for 1st shift (6am–2:30pm, Mon–Fri) in Sumter, SC. Salary is $19.25/hour with eligibility for a variable incentive program. Role supports production through inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include receiving, storing, staging, issuing materials, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards while maintaining organized work areas and effective teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience (shipping, receiving, inventory management, warehouse, material handling).
• Forklift certification required for operation of forklifts.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.
• No relocation; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Sumter facility.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments from vendors and process transactions in Eaton systems to maintain accurate inventory and support timely order fulfillment.
• Perform cycle counts, analyze variances, and resolve errors through data research and auditing.
• Receive, document, store, stage and issue materials to satisfy production needs.
• Support production line requirements and ensure proper paperwork for shipments.
• Ensure quality by following Eaton's guidelines and conducting required quality checks.
• Follow safety procedures and 5S standards in the work area.
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders and communicate requirements.
• Identify improvement opportunities through Lean initiatives and process optimization.
