Job summary

Burlington Stores in Riverside, CA seeks an Inventory Cycle Count Area Manager to lead audit and cycle count teams and champion inventory integrity across shifts. You’ll drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and improvements while ensuring SOX controls and training programs are in place.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decisions, and proactive asset protection within a fast-paced distribution center. Strong leadership and technical skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years’ experience leading in a high-volume distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of audit, distribution, and inventory control procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and strong arithmetic skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise audit errors, identify root causes, and monitor audit status for management awareness.
• Manage employee resources through hiring, training, evaluation, coaching, and termination.
• Supervise research in the cycle count department/Inventory department, identify root causes, and communicate to management.
• Deliver necessary training to associates in support roles within the operation as required.
• Facilitate projects, monitor daily inventory adjustments, and support implementation of KPIs and internal controls.
• Provide daily and weekly updates to Operations and IC management of ongoing issues with findings and corrective actions.
• Review and align accuracy audits with current processes, implementing adjustments for financial errors.
• Collaborate with IT, DC, finance, and other groups to assist research and problem solving.
• Drive inventory accuracy and shrink improvement through analysis and process adjustments.
