Job summary

OMG Inc. is a leading manufacturer of fastening products for construction, with a Illinois facility where an Inventory Coordinator supports inventory, purchasing and production activities.

Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will manage daily inventory transactions, assist with Kanban and lean initiatives, and coordinate with maintenance and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and smooth operations. Strong organizational and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory control in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory.
• Identify, research and report any raw material and/or WIP inventory.
• Calculate production efficiencies and report results according to productivity metrics.
• Assist with Kanban activities such as card counting and Kanban processes.
• Support monthly 5S Audits by tracking progress and charting results.
• Create, enter, track and receive purchase orders.
• Conduct follow up with suppliers on lead times and status.
• Work with Maintenance and Tool Operators on purchasing.
• Follow S80 guidelines and provide support where needed.
• Complete general office duties and perform other tasks as assigned.
