Job summary

OMG Inc. is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to support the Production Team at our Illinois manufacturing facility. You will perform daily inventory transactions, manage stock accuracy, and assist with purchasing and lean initiatives.

Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will help with Kanban activities, 5S audits, supplier follow-ups, and coordination with maintenance. A hands-on, detail-oriented professional with manufacturing experience will thrive here.

Qualifications

  • Inventory control experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Identify, research, and report inventory discrepancies.
  • Calculate production efficiencies and report results.
  • Assist with Kanban activities and related tasks.
  • Support 5S audits by tracking progress and results.
  • Create, enter, track and receive purchase orders.
  • Coordinate follow-up with suppliers on lead times and status.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance on purchasing activities.
  • Follow S80 guidelines and provide vendor support as needed.
  • Complete general office duties and other tasks as assigned.

Position

The Inventory Coordinator provides inventory, purchasing and production support to the Production Team at our Illinois manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Inventory Coordinator also supports lean initiatives by assisting with Kanban activities, productivity metrics and audit reporting.

Requirements
Responsibilities
  • Perform daily inventory transactions and maintain and ensure accurate inventory
  • Identify, research and report any raw material and/or WIP inventory
  • Calculate production efficiencies and report results according to pre-established productivity metrics.
  • Assist with Kanban activities such as card counting, Wire Kanban and Fastener
  • Support monthly 5S Audits by tracking progress and charting results with
  • Create, enter, track and receive purchase
  • Conduct follow up with suppliers on lead times and status
  • Work with Maintenance and Tool Operators on purchasing
  • Follow S80 guidelines and
  • Provide support to outside vendors when
  • Complete general office duties and perform other tasks as
Requirements
  • High school diploma or
  • Experience with inventory control (preferably in manufacturing environment) .
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-
  • Strong communication skills - both written and
  • Strong PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Good close vision and depth perception
  • Positive "can do" attitude!
