Job summary

Fullen Dock & Warehouse Inc. in Wilmington, DE seeks an Inventory Clerk to lead cycle counts, verify quantities, and ensure accurate inventory records. You will consolidate inventory for storage and report discrepancies, reporting to the Customer Service Manager.

You will coordinate with customers daily, process adjustments, and monitor receiving logs while maintaining safety, documentation, and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in warehouse operations preferred.
  • Prior inventory experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Resourceful, well-organized and dependable.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with export requirements and documents.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities.
  • Must have or meet eligibility to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work overtime during week and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain coordination of cycle counts and verify customer-supplied products.
  • Handle OS&D reporting and communications with customers.
  • File reports stating items in a shipment that were over- or under-shipped.
  • Process inventory adjustments as needed.
  • Manage inventory by counting products and comparing logs.
  • Assist with customer inventory audits.
  • Communicate inventory levels to customers daily.
  • Assist in holding inventory releases and applying codes.
  • Review orders and receiving documents for accuracy.
  • Research inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor daily receiving log and inventory control paperwork.
  • Report and reconcile any receiving discrepancies or damaged shipments.
  • Monitor sanitation and housekeeping in work areas.
  • Meet team quality and production goals.
  • Assist supervisor in developing and implementing procedures.
  • Ensure tasks are completed by end of shift.
  • Complete miscellaneous projects as needed.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Supports operations by leading and owning the process of maintaining proper inventory counts and product codes to ensure compliance with established internal control procedures. Directs and consolidates inventory for maximum storage and utilization of space. The role reports directly to the Customer Service Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain coordination of Cycle counts and verify customer-supplied products.
  • Responsible for handling OS&D reporting and communications with customers.
  • Accurately file reports stating which items in a shipment were over-shipped, under-shipped, and damaged upon receipt.
  • Process necessary inventory adjustments.

  • Assist in managing the holding of inventory (releases and application of codes).

  • Monitor and submit daily receiving log and all daily inventory control paperwork.
  • Monitor, report, and reconcile any receiving discrepancies or damaged shipments.
  • Monitor sanitation and housekeeping in the work areas.
  • Meet team quality and production goals.
  • Assist the supervisor in developing procedures and implementing new procedures.
  • Ensure all team tasks are completed by the end of the shift.
  • Complete miscellaneous projects as needed.
  • Adhere to Company safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in warehouse operations preferred.
