Job summary

EmergencyMD in Midland, TX is seeking a warehouse associate to support daily warehouse and yard operations. You will maintain accurate inventory records and ensure safe handling of materials.

The role includes cycle counts, inbound/outbound shipments, and generating reports. You will assist others with inventory requests, restock items, and work with various departments. Forklift certification is required, and weekend/on-call shifts may be involved.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills with MS Office and inventory databases.
  • Good oral and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience handling multiple projects with flexibility and accuracy.
  • Highly motivated and able to work efficiently and safely.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of inventory warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily warehouse and yard operations.
  • Complete cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.

  • Prepare outbound Purchase Orders and shipping documentation.
  • Pull parts to build or repair finished goods per Work Orders.
  • Restock inventory items and communicate shortages or defects.
  • Move items in the system to designated locations and support other departments.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and generate inventory-related reports.
  • Communicate with Purchasing and Operational Departments about Purchase Orders and discrepancies.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) and obtain forklift certification.

Job description

Position Summary

Safely participate in the day to day warehouse and yard operations. Maintain accurate records of material quantities and types.

Job Functions/Duties
  • Complete daily inventory audits by comparing physical counts against system records and investigate reasons for discrepancies. (Cycle Counts)
  • Assist in the unloading of truck deliveries and review incoming inventory shipments for accuracy.
  • Prepare outbound Purchase Orders and include the required shipping documentation.
  • Pull necessary parts to build or repair finished goods as outlined on Work Orders.
  • Restock inventory items.
  • Communicate inventory shortages and defective or unusable items.
  • Assist other departments with their inventory requests and move items in the system to their designated locations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse by tracking product movements using established internal control procedures.
  • Generate inventory-related reports.
  • Communicate via email with Purchasing Department and Operational Departments regarding Purchase Orders and identify any discrepancies in what was received compared to the Packing List.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, as part of daily activities; and must be able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.
Qualifications/Education Requirements

  • Must have experience handling multiple projects simultaneously, and working in an environment, which requires flexibility, time management, and accuracy
  • Highly motivated and able to work efficiently and safely
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of inventory warehouse experience preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Continuously required to move about the facility which may include exposure to various outdoor elements and physical labor.
  • Rotating On-Call schedule and the ability to work weekends.
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to, eye protection, hardhat and safety shoes in designated areas throughout the warehouse.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
