Job summary

Northtown Lexus – Amherst, NY is hiring an Inventory Coordinator to manage the preowned vehicle inventory, photograph vehicles for online marketing, and write effective descriptions to boost online listings.

You will work under the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager to ensure the inventory supports department growth, with responsibilities including reconditioning coordination, vendor liaison, and stock-in paperwork. A valid in-state driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all preowned inventory and ensure lot appearance.
• Photograph vehicles for online marketing and listings.
• Write clear, compelling vehicle descriptions for listings.
• Review merchandising standards daily on lot and online.
• Oversee internal reconditioning processes before sale.
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors for cosmetic repairs as needed.
• Prepare wholesale inventory for auction via ACV platform.
• Complete all stocking-in paperwork for purchases and trade-ins.
• Inspect incoming vehicles for damage and report findings.
• Verify equipment on each used car for listing accuracy and window stickers.
• Assist the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager with inventory merchandising on site and online.
• Perform required paperwork to stock-in inventory and maintain lot order.
• Enforce safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Occupational Summary: The Inventory Coordinator works closely with and under the supervision of the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager to ensure that the entire used car inventory supports the department’s growth-orientated orientation

Essential Job Functions

• Management of all preowned inventory
• Photographing inventory for marketing online
• Writing vehicle descriptions to promote vehicles online
• Daily review of merchandising standards
• Overseeing all aspects of the internal reconditioning process for vehicles prior to sale
• Work with 3rd party vendors for reconditioning of wheels, glass, leather & other cosmetic needs
• Prepare wholesale inventory for auction via ACV
• Completing all administration associated with stocking in purchases & trade-ins.
• Inspects all incoming vehicles for damage.
• Verifies equipment on every used car to ensure accuracy of online listings & window stickers.
• Assists Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager with merchandising of the inventory on the lot and online.
• Completes paperwork required to stock-in used cars for inventory
• Will be accountable for the appearance of used cars on the lot
• Moves sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order
• Performs other duties as required, at the direction of the Pre-Owned Vehicles Sales Manager
• Enforce safety requirements.
• Can operate a standard-transmission vehicle and continues an unrestricted driver’s license & clean driving record.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, management and customers.

Physical Requirements

Job requires the following physical activities: Will spend four to eight hours per shift moving throughout the dealership, shops and lot. The following physical activities will happen but are not limited to, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, feeling, shoveling, etc. Will work closely with the service department, body shop & detail shop and therefore will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, paint and other potentially hazardous and nonhazardous materials.

Schedule

• Full-time hours, 5 days a week.
• Must have availability during Sales business hours which are Monday - Friday 9AM - 7PM and Saturdays 9AM - 5PM
