Job summary

Asbury is seeking an Inventory Specialist Team Lead to oversee posting all inventory transactions to the general ledger, including new manufacturer purchases, used auction trades and other dealer inventory. The role also involves training and mentoring the inventory specialists.

Qualifications

Understanding of general accounting principles
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience in automotive accounting
Good understanding of Excel, Outlook and Word

Responsibilities

Post inventory transactions to the general ledger accurately and timely
Review documents for accuracy and proper approval
Ensure all auction sales and dealer trades are posted timely
Support audit controls and compliance processes
Train and mentor Inventory Specialists
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce errors and increase productivity
Monitor processing metrics to ensure timely postings
