Job summary

GSS construction and oilfield supply in Louisiana seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate quantities, locations, bins, and records across GSS locations. You will own cycle counts, NetSuite Smart Count scheduling, review, and variance resolution.

Maintain accurate receiving, transfers, and movements; investigate discrepancies and implement preventive controls. Build reports, streamline processes, and train staff on correct transactions to ensure stock integrity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in inventory control, warehouse management, ERP inventory, or a related role.
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred; WMS, Smart Count, and manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Analytical, technology-minded, organized, detail-oriented, and able to train others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory quantities, locations, bins, and records across GSS locations.
• Own cycle counts and NetSuite Smart Count scheduling, review, and variance resolution.
• Administer and troubleshoot inventory functions in NetSuite WMS and Manufacturing Management.
• Oversee accurate receiving, put-away, transfers, inventory movements, and manufacturing transactions.
• Research the root cause of discrepancies and implement controls that prevent repeat errors.
• Build reports, improve processes, document procedures, and train employees on correct transactions.
