Job summary

Arlington County's Department of Environmental Services, Water, Sewer, and Streets Bureau seeks a Warehouse Technician to manage inventory, receive and distribute materials, and ensure accurate records using Cartegraph. You will work to keep supplies available for county services and support safety.

This role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations. Work hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Experience with warehouse operations including receiving, storing and issuing supplies.
Familiarity with inventory systems and ongoing record maintenance.
Access to reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Maintain automated inventory systems, record materials, and conduct periodic inventories.
Receive shipments, verify accuracy and condition, store items, and notify customers of availability.
Prepare usage reports in Word/Excel to identify replenishment needs and disposal or auction requirements.
Ensure safe storage of bulky, hazardous, and perishable items per safety regulations.
Assist with loading/unloading using a forklift and coordinate uniform inventory distribution.
