Job summary

Rightway Fasteners, Inc. in Columbus, Indiana is seeking an Entry level Team Member in Inventory Control to help maintain cycle counts and manage inventory locations. You will participate in physical inventories, follow safety policies, and collaborate with shipping and production control to improve procedures.

You will receive on the job training and have opportunities for growth within a growing manufacturing company that values teamwork and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years forklift or tugger experience
  • 2+ years inventory control experience
  • Automotive industry experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and math skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cycle counting and inventory accuracy
  • Set up and move inventory locations
  • Conduct annual physical inventory and monthly cycle counts
  • Coordinate with Quality, Shipping and Production control
  • Seek cost-saving ideas related to inventory control
  • Follow safety policies and participate in 5S/Kaizen

Job Title: Team Member

Department: Inventory Control

Job Summary and Primary Objectives:

Maintain Cycle Counting. Responsible for the set-up and movement of inventory locations. Achieve company objectives related to inventory control, maintaining acceptable inventory accuracy. Oversee and continuously improve Inventory Control related policies and procedures. Coordinate and perform physical Inventory 2xs per year.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for acquiring accurate inventory.
  • Review and update/create procedures.
  • Driving a forklift or tugger to each department for parts management.
  • Conduct annual physical inventory 2xs per year.
  • Follow up on all inventory transactions and movement of parts.
  • Coordinate with Quality all products that need to be returned to Quality.
  • Work closely with shipping and production control.
  • Seek and achieve cost saving ideas related to Inventory Control.
  • Improve existing Inventory Control procedures.
  • Daily cycle counting.
  • Monthly cycle counting of washer, coil and pass thru bolts.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in 5S and Kaizen activities
  • Other duties as assigned
QualificationsSkills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Good aptitude for math.
  • Good analytical skills and detail oriented.
  • Highly motivated work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Basic Math
Education and Experience:
  • 1 + years experience with forklift or tugger
  • 2 + years experience with Inventory Control.
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred but not required.
