Job summary

Guest Supply is seeking an inventory control professional to monitor freight and inventory levels, ensuring cost-effective, accurate handling from receiving through cycle counts. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, slotting, and coordination with multiple departments to maintain smooth operations.

Responsibilities include daily inventory reports, HACCP/MSDS adherence, and collaboration with shippers and warehouse staff to prevent shortages and discrepancies.

Qualifications

• 3 years of inventory control and/or warehouse experience in food distribution.
• 1 year of experience on IBM AS400.
• High school diploma/GED; 4-year college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect produce at the dock to ensure quality and correct quantity.
• Handle receiving and inventory adjustments for mainframe entry.
• Perform daily cycle counts on frozen, cooler, and dry products.
• Assign and label warehouse slots; verify mainframe data accuracy.
• Notify warehouse manager of potential problems or outs.
• Complete daily inventory and warehouse reports.
• Direct physical inventories per SYGMA guidelines.
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth information flow.
• Follow HACCP and MSDS guidelines.
