Job summary

Ascent Aerospace in Kentucky is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to lead Receiving, VMI, and Material Management Crib operations, owning material from dock to kit and transfer. This hands-on supervisor directs Material Management Specialists and Receiving staff while partnering with Shipping, Build, and Quality to keep materials flowing and prevent shortages.

You will ensure inventory accuracy, enforce procedures, use SAP for receipts and traceability, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in inventory control or related roles in manufacturing.
• Leadership experience managing Material Management Specialists and Receiving staff.
• Proficiency with SAP for goods receipts, QA, and inventory tracking.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and process compliance.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Shipping, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Management Specialists and Receiving staff across all shifts.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and enforce documented procedures.
• Coordinate with Shipping, Build Supervisors, Supply Chain, Quality and Engineering to prevent shortages and nonconforming material.
• Manage and track Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and project inventory.
• Drive continuous improvement, audits, and corrective actions.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and compliance in the material areas.
