Job summary

Ascent Aerospace is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee planning, procurement, storage and distribution of materials and tooling for aerospace production. You will coordinate large, heavy loads and work closely with Production, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Shipping and Purchasing to ensure materials are available when needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 5+ years in materials control, and an ITAR US Person clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in materials control or related field.
• Export Control compliance requires a “US Person” as defined by ITAR.
• Willingness to work with heavy/oversized loads and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the materials yard including receiving, staging, storage and distribution.
• Coordinate movement of large aerospace tooling, fixtures, molds and raw materials.
• Maintain accurate records of locations, quantities and movements.
• Ensure materials available for production and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Adhere to safety, 6S and environmental requirements; operate material-handling equipment as needed.
