Job summary

Assurant invites applications for an Inventory Control Supervisor in Irving, TX. You will lead a team, prepare schedules, assign tasks, and coordinate workflow to ensure efficient operation of the facility.

Responsibilities include supervising cycle counts, maintaining stock security, and reporting inventory performance. Onsite role with a Monday–Thursday 6:00AM–4:30PM schedule, driving continuous improvement and team engagement.

Qualifications

• HR Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a lead role within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing/repair environment.
• Strong knowledge and abilities with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Associates Degree and 3+ years of experience supervising 15+ hourly associates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving or related environment required.
• Ability to identify potential process and workflow improvements.
• Demonstrated experience with direct supervision and coaching of others.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop short- and long-term goals and plans for areas of responsibility.
• Liaison between teams, shifts, and departments; partner with internal and external customers.
• Ensure accurate accounting and physical control and security of all material in stockroom locations and issued/returned materials.
• Supervise cycle count processes and provide scheduled as well as ad hoc inventory reports.
• Oversee stockroom activities across shifts including material stocking, kitting, and delivery for production.
• Monitor delivery of handsets and accessories for fulfillment and processing of RMA returns.
• Lead HR objectives: hiring, performance reviews, mentoring and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and maintain an effective organization for areas of responsibility.
• Create/modify processes with manager to handle new accounts/products and improve existing processes.
