Aventure Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory / FSQA associate for a dog food production facility in Iowa. Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM, on-site.
You will walk the production floor, verify labels, track receipts and movements, and support cycle counts and inventories to ensure accuracy. Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years FSQA or inventory experience, strong computer literacy, and receiving/shipping exposure.
Dog food company Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM Responsibilities: Walk the production floor at least hourly while production is running. Verify that each applicable pallet, tote, combo, rack, or staged lot has a legible, accurate identification label; apply or replace labels promptly under the approved procedure. Check product identity, lot or batch code, quantity, status, date, location, and other required fields against the production record before labeling. Escalate missing or conflicting information to Production and QA; do not guess or relabel product with unverified details. Track receipts, issues to production, transfers, returns, rework, holds, scrap, finished goods, and shipments in the approved inventory records. Record movements when they occur and retain supporting documentation. Maintain location and quantity accuracy for meat and ingredients, packaging supplies, work in process, finished goods, and customer-owned materials. Coordinate with Receiving, Shipping, Production, Purchasing, and QA on shortages and changes. Perform daily spot checks and scheduled cycle counts; reconcile variances with physical evidence and transaction history. Prepare and support month-end and year-end physical inventories, including count sheets and variance reports. Monitor shelf life, lot rotation, and storage status; flag aging, damaged, unidentified, or misplaced materials and help prevent use or shipment until disposition is confirmed by the authorized team. Report material usage, stock levels, discrepancies, and upcoming shortages to the Production Supervisor and purchasing lead. Maintain orderly records that support traceability and a timely mock recall.
Requirements: Preferably with 1 to 2+ years ofFSQA&/or inventory experience. Strong Computer Literacy. Receiving and shipping experience. Communication & Detail-Orientated.
