Job summary

Fidelity Manufacturing is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate records of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across warehouse and production areas. You will ensure material availability, support counting, and coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and Quality teams to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of inventory, warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or supply chain experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and inventory calculations.
  • Proficiency with computers and data entry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
  • Experience with inventory management systems, ERP systems, or warehouse software.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience performing cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Forklift operating experience.
  • Experience supporting material flow and inventory control processes.
  • Experience supporting startup operations, plant expansions, or new facility launches.
  • Associate degree or coursework related to Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or Operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices.
  • Experience with barcode systems and inventory tracking technology.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain inventory records within inventory management systems.
  • Perform inventory transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, overages, and potential issues.
  • Assist with inventory audits and reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and adjustments.
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives and process improvements.
  • Verify quantities and condition of incoming materials and inventory items.
  • Assist with proper identification, labeling, and storage of inventory.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and shipping teams to support material flow.
  • Ensure materials are properly staged and available to support production schedules.
  • Monitor material movement throughout warehouse and production areas.
  • Support organization and housekeeping of inventory storage locations.
  • Assist with material transfers and inventory-related transactions as required.
  • Maintain inventory documentation and supporting records.
  • Perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Generate reports related to inventory counts, discrepancies, and material movements.
  • Communicate inventory status and issues to appropriate departments.
  • Support inventory-related reporting and recordkeeping activities.
  • Maintain organized inventory files and documentation.
  • Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, and Quality teams.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives related to inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • Support department goals related to inventory accuracy and operational performance.
  • Maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and operational requirements.
  • Support additional inventory and materials-related responsibilities as assigned.
