Job summary

Pacific Rubber & Packing seeks an Inventory Control Specialist in San Carlos, CA. The role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely material availability to support customer orders and production work orders.

You will work with Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to monitor cycles, conduct audits, and resolve discrepancies while improving processes and warehouse efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or related field.
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments preferred.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Strong computer proficiency and data entry skills.
• Experience with ERP and inventory management systems (SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
• Ability to learn new systems while maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory integrity and support material flow across operations.
• Manage inventory transactions and records in ERP system.
• Monitor inventory levels via cycle counts, audits, and verification.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system and physical inventory.
• Organize inventory locations to improve accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
• Pull and stage materials for customer orders and production work orders.
• Communicate inventory status, shortages, and replenishment needs with Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams.
• Support production schedules by ensuring materials are available where needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Contribute to a culture of quality, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
