Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Officer to join the team. The role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory levels, reducing stock discrepancies, and ensuring product availability for distribution.

You will perform regular audits and use inventory software to track movements and identify trends to improve efficiency and profitability. Responsibilities include cycle counts, enforcing policies, resolving discrepancies, and managing stock rotation to minimize obsolescence.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control, stock management, or a related warehousing role.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to conduct physical counts accurately and efficiently.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and best practices for inventory management.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to report findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all inventory received, stored, and dispatched.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage stock rotation to minimize obsolescence and ensure product freshness.
• Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, forecast demand, and optimize stock positioning.
