Job summary

Capital Area Food Bank is seeking an Inventory Specialist for the NOVA distribution facility to ensure inventory accuracy and traceability. You will perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate replenishment while partnering with Receiving, Programs, and ERP/Systems teams.

The role requires an eye for detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to support accurate order fulfillment and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years in inventory control, warehouse operations, distribution, or related supply chain environment.
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution required; NetSuite and food distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy, integrity, organization and traceability of inventory at the NOVA distribution facility.
• Perform cycle counts and research/discrepancies; monitor inventory transactions and locations.
• Coordinate replenishment, receiving/put-away, and ensure proper product rotation and system accuracy.
• Support audits and maintain documentation for traceability and compliance.
