Job summary

Capital Area Food Bank is seeking an Inventory Specialist for its NOVA distribution facility. You will maintain accuracy, integrity, and traceability of inventory, perform cycle counts, and ensure alignment between physical stock and system records.

You will work with Receiving, Order Fulfillment, Food Resources, Programs, ERP/Systems, and other internal teams to prevent stock issues and support audits. Strong Excel and ERP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, distribution, or related supply chain environment.
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution required; NetSuite and food distribution experience preferred.

• Train warehouse staff in inventory control procedures and system transactions
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment for inventory tasks
• Follow CAFB safety, sanitation, and equipment safety requirements
