Job summary

The Capital Area Food Bank seeks an Inventory Specialist – NOVA to maintain accurate, traceable inventory at the NOVA distribution facility. You will perform cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure alignment between physical stock and system records.

This hands-on role collaborates with Receiving, Order Fulfillment, Food Resources, Programs, and ERP/Systems teams to prevent stockouts and support audits and compliance in a fast-paced food distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s in a related field preferred.
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy and traceability in the NOVA warehouse.
• Perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to resolution.
• Support receiving and put-away accuracy; monitor locations and replenishment.
• Assist audits and provide required inventory documentation and verification.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to prevent stockouts and improve processes.
