Luna Innovations in Blacksburg, VA is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist to own the accuracy of on-hand inventory across stockroom and warehouse, drive cycle counts, reconciliation, and process improvement while partnering with Purchasing, Production Planning, and Quality.

Under the site manufacturing leader, you will manage cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, validate ERP transactions, maintain min/max, monitor forecasts, and support audits and traceability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in inventory control or related manufacturing support role, with cycle counting and ERP transactions.
• Attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office and an ERP or inventory system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts and own count strategy.
• Reconcile discrepancies and investigate root causes rather than just correcting counts.
• Execute ERP transactions for receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
• Maintain min/max and reorder point settings and monitor forecasts.
• Coordinate physical inventories, tagging, and variance reporting.
• Track lot/serial/expiration and support product traceability.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and manage disposition.
• Audit counts and processes, drive corrective actions for discrepancies.
