Responsibilities:
  • Ensure materials are delivered on time from the 3rd-party warehouse to the internal warehouse

Job Description:
Logistics Coordination:
  • Ensure materials are delivered on time from the 3rd-party warehouse to the internal warehouse
  • Coordinate daily shipments and ensure all logistics meet production schedules
  • Track and manage shipments, including communication with warehouse partners regarding any delays or issues
  • Resolve logistical issues quickly to avoid production delays
Inventory Management:
  • Liaise with the inventory team at the internal warehouse to monitor on-site inventory (quantity and accuracy)
Forecasting and Planning:
  • Work closely with the scheduling team to understand production schedules and future material requirements
  • Review demand forecasts and place timely orders with the 3rd-party warehouse to meet manufacturing needs
Supplier and Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate regularly with the 3rd-party warehouse to ensure the availability of materials
  • Collaborate with purchasing, planning, and production support teams to maintain clear communication about inventory and material flow
  • Keep all relevant stakeholders informed of logistical or inventory issues
Continuous Improvement:
  • Seek opportunities to improve logistics and inventory processes
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance material flow and inventory accuracy
  • Implement strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs related to logistics and inventory management
Critical Role in Business:
  • The Logistics and Inventory Coordinator is vital for manufacturing success by maintaining smooth material flow.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • 3+ years' experience in Supply Chain: Warehousing in Pharma/Biotech
  • B.S./M.S. degree preferred
  • CPIM certification preferred
  • Strong IT skills in MS Office (Word, Excel) and SAP
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of procedures and concepts within supply chain
  • Continuous Improvement mindset, collaborative, team-oriented
  • Proactive, flexible, analytical
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools for inventory, KPIs, and replenishment processes
