Job Description

The Logistics and Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials between the internal warehouse and a 3rd-party warehouse. This role involves managing the timely delivery of materials to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations, reviewing on-site inventory, cross-checking with production forecasts, and placing accurate orders from the 3rd-party warehouse to meet production demands. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between the warehouses and the manufacturing team, ensuring that materials are consistently available and that inventory is kept aligned with production needs.

Job Duties
  1. Ensure materials are delivered on time from the 3rd-party warehouse to the internal warehouse.
  2. Coordinate daily shipments and ensure all logistics meet production schedules.
  3. Track and manage shipments, including communication with warehouse partners regarding any delays or issues.
  4. Resolve logistical issues quickly to avoid production delays.
Inventory Management
  • Liaise with the inventory team at the internal warehouse to monitor onsite inventory (quantity and accuracy).
Forecasting and Planning
  • Work closely with the scheduling team to understand production schedules and future material requirements.
  • Review demand forecasts and place timely orders with the 3rd-party warehouse to meet manufacturing needs.
Supplier and Stakeholder Communication
  • Communicate regularly with the 3rd-party warehouse to ensure the availability of materials.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, planning, and production support teams to maintain clear communication about inventory and material flow.
  • Ensure all relevant stakeholders are kept informed of any logistical or inventory issues.
Continuous Improvement
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve logistics and inventory processes.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance material flow and inventory accuracy.
  • Implement strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs associated with logistics and inventory management.

Requirements
  • 3+ years in Supply Chain: Warehousing in Pharma/Biotech.
  • B.S./M.S. degree preferred.
  • CPIM certification preferred.
  • Strong IT expertise in MS Office (Word and Excel) and SAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of procedures and concepts within own discipline.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset with a focus on collaboration and teamworking.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • A hands-on, flexible and highly analytical mind-set.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to monitor inventory data, KPIs, and replenishment processes.
