Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company is seeking a Stock Clerk to compile and maintain records of material, equipment, and supplies stocked in the facility in Albuquerque, NM. Starting wage is $17.50 per hour, Day Shift; schedule will vary according to need.

The role requires counting inventory, verifying transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy, with attention to safety and adherence to temperature-controlled environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fluency in English; speak, read, and write.
• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department including overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work in temperature-controlled zones from -5 F to ambient temperature.
• Ability to observe surroundings, packages and labels at close and far distances.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain records of quantity, type and value of stocked materials.
• Report accidents, injuries, malfunctions and safety issues immediately to a Supervisor.
• Count inventory and post totals to records.
• Compare inventories to records and compute figures to obtain current inventory.
• Verify calculations against physical counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare reports such as inventory balance, price lists and shortages.
• Prepare lists of depleted items and suggest surveys of defective items.
• Regular and reliable attendance and other duties as assigned.
