Job summary

Hiring Today is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Vermont. You will perform physical counts, verify cash, and resolve product code issues while helping shop crews and management optimize operations.

You will travel between shops, train staff, and communicate data clearly to enable tough conversations with all levels of management. This role offers growth opportunities and long-term stability within a company-owned structure.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or food service management or accounting is preferred.

• Ability to discuss data and have tough conversations with management.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical inventory counts to calculate shrink.
• Verify cash transactions and reconcile discrepancies.
• Resolve product code issues and explain shop accounting system values.
• Assist with operational and personnel issues.
• Collaborate with managers to reduce shrink and improve operations.
• Travel between shops to audit inventories.

We are looking to add Inventory Control Specialists to our team. Our auditors conduct monthly shop inventory and work with the shop crew and management to help control loss and improve operations. In addition to finding problems and opportunities you will be required to be part of the solution.

• Have an outgoing personality with the ability to share data and have tough conversations with all levels of management.

Responsibilities:

• Physical count of inventory to calculate inventory shrink.
• Cash verification.
• Check and resolve product code issues.
• Explain and teach the value of our shop accounting system to shop crew members and managers.
• Assist with operational and personnel issues.
• Work with managers to solve shrink issues.
• Travel from shop to shop.
