Sysco Hampshire IL is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to perform cycle counting and adjustments to maintain item-level accuracy. You will operate WMS, verify lots and expiration, and collaborate with warehouse teams to keep stock records precise.

This full-time onsite role requires basic math, computer skills, and strong attention to detail, with safety awareness and a willingness to work day/evening shifts in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• Must have intermediate math and proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly cycle counting to ensure perpetual inventory accuracy, including lot tracking, date integrity and stock location.
• Make accurate cycle count adjustments in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Communicate potential inventory losses (expiration, temp issues) to supervision for timely action.
• Retrieve stray product and correct mis-located items; document incidents for follow-up.
• Process outbound returns, donations, recalls, salvages as required and review OS&D forms for accuracy.
• Maintain neat, safe work area and operate MHE (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely.
