Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Inventory Control Associate in Dallas to perform timely cycle counts, adjust data in the Warehouse Management System, and maintain accuracy at item and location levels. You will work with the Inventory Control team to minimize shrink and ensure food safety compliance.

The role requires strong math and computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate MHE and RF equipment safely in a warehouse environment. This is a full-time position with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have intermediate math and proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) suite.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly cycle counting of inventory to ensure accuracy of perpetual inventory including lot tracking, date integrity, stock location and pick slotting.
• Make accurate cycle count adjustments in the WMS as required for planning and evaluation activities.
• Report potential loss of inventory (expiration, temp issues) to management for timely action.
• Correct mis-located products and document with a Quality Incident Packet.
• Research Lost Pallet Reports and determine adjustments in the system for accurate net position.
• Retrieve and store stray product; pull, process, load and complete outbound returns, donations, recalls and salvages as needed.
• Review OS&D forms for accuracy and completeness and approve as required.
• Access shelf life and expiration data from reports and communicate findings to the team.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with safety rules and policies.
