Acoustical Sheetmetal Company in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to support the Inventory Control Supervisor in maintaining accurate records of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. You will ensure transactions are processed correctly to support production and prevent shortages or overages.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or material handling environment.
• Basic understanding of inventory management systems and practices.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar inventory tracking software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory activities, including receiving, storing, issuing, and counting of materials.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in the inventory system.
• Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and monthly physical inventories.
• Identify and report discrepancies or damaged materials to the Inventory Control Supervisor.
• Help organize and maintain warehouse areas, labeling, and bin locations for efficient storage.
• Support the movement of materials between departments and facilities as required.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Shipping to ensure timely material availability.
• Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
