Job summary

Acoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) is seeking a Customer Equipment Clerk to support the Customer Equipment Supervisor by maintaining accurate records of Customer Equipment and ensuring inventory transactions are processed correctly to support production schedules.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to collaborate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with 2+ years in inventory control or material handling, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or material handling.
• Basic understanding of inventory management systems.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar inventory software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate material handling equipment.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Forklift certification or OSHA safety training.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S practices.
• Associate’s degree or coursework in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory activities, including receiving, storing, issuing, and counting of materials.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the inventory system.
• Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and monthly physical inventories.
• Identify and report discrepancies or damaged materials to the Inventory Control Supervisor.
• Help organize and maintain warehouse areas, labeling, and bin locations for efficient storage.
• Support the movement of materials between departments and facilities as required.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Shipping to ensure timely material availability.
• Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
