Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate records and support warehouse efficiency. This role monitors stock levels, reconciles discrepancies, and ensures proper storage, labeling, and occasional handling of non-conforming items.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, data entry in the WMS, processing receipts and shipments, and safety compliance. The position requires forklift experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hybrid warehouse/office environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple inventory items and priorities.
• Skilled at identifying discrepancies and solving problems.
• Effective verbal and written communication for reporting.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and WMS.
• Understanding of FIFO, cycle counting, and stock rotation.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Team-oriented with cross-department collaboration.
• Capable of basic root cause analysis.
• Forklift experience and ability to pass assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts and audits to verify stock levels and locations.
• Enter and maintain inventory data in the WMS accurately.
• Prepare documentation for inventory transactions and adjustments.
• Assist with receiving shipments and support order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe warehouse and proper labeling.
• Identify inventory issues and propose process improvements.
• Perform product and location audits to resolve inconsistencies.
• Trace discrepancies and resolve stock status and location.
• Manage damaged goods process and disposition.
• Identify items under quality hold and document disposition.
• Execute inventory transfers to production and fulfillment.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely.
