Job summary

American Superconductor is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk in Queensbury, NY to maintain perpetual inventory of materials, equipment and supplies. This regular full-time role reports to the Program Manager and supports manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, issuing components to work orders, staging parts, organizing receipts and shipments, and performing Oracle database transactions. A high school diploma and 0–2 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Clerical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts.
• Issue components and parts to work orders.
• Pulling and staging parts for work orders.
• Transport components between facilities.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels of manufacturing consumables.
• Shipping/receiving goods and preparing shipment paperwork (BOLs, packing lists, commercial invoices).
• Prepare and package shipments (preservation, packaging, marking).
• Organize and file all hard copy receipts/shipments/issues.
• Housekeeping of warehouse area and components.
• Perform Oracle database transactions for receiving, issuing, inventory transfer, and cycle counts.
• Other tasks as required.
