Position Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist maintains the organization’s inventory, works closely with procurement and warehouse staff to control flow, and supervises warehouse staff.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain consistent stock levels, order new stock as needed.
2. Collaborate with purchasing to optimize just-in-time inventory.
3. Manage cycle count programs and ensure accuracy of adjustments.
4. Supervise material handlers and establish KPIs for productivity.
5. Coordinate with finance for material issuance to maximize cash flow.
6. Analyze reports to identify automatic reorder items.
7. Provide inventory reports to relevant departments.
8. Keep accurate records of goods received and shipped.
9. Manage and upgrade inventory systems as needed.
10. Assist with physical inventory audits.
11. Operate forklift when necessary.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
13. Willingness to travel.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience with computerized inventory systems.
3. Supervisor experience preferred.
4. Forklift certification preferred.
5. Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
6. Proficiency in inventory control procedures and Office Suite.
7. Highly organized with attention to detail.
8. Ability to perform basic math and lift up to 40 pounds.
9. Active in identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities.
10. Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
