Job summary

Compal USA Technology Inc is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory accuracy across our Georgetown, TX manufacturing operations. This role partners with Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure precise transactions and continuous process improvement.

You will perform cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, and generate reports in SAP/MES, driving reduction in inventory loss and optimized stock levels.

  • Experience conducting cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.

Position Summary

Compal USA Technology Inc. is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory accuracy and operational excellence within our growing U.S. manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory integrity through cycle counting, inventory audits, reconciliation, reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

The Inventory Control Specialist partners closely with Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate inventory transactions, resolve discrepancies, optimize inventory levels, and support uninterrupted production. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, reducing inventory loss, and improving overall warehouse and supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control & Auditing

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory transactions are processed correctly.
  • Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and annual physical inventory activities.

Inventory Analysis & Optimization

  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and replenishment requirements to maintain optimal inventory.
  • Analyze inventory trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce excess inventory, shortages, obsolete materials, and inventory shrinkage.
  • Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and warehouse processes.

Systems & Reporting

  • Process inventory transactions and maintain inventory records within SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Generate inventory reports, variance analyses, and performance metrics for management.
  • Ensure inventory data integrity through accurate system maintenance and documentation.
  • Assist with ERP data validation and inventory master data management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Warehouse, Production, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and Finance teams to resolve inventory issues and improve material flow.
  • Support receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping operations by ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects focused on inventory optimization and operational excellence.
  • Assist in developing and documenting inventory control procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 1–3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience conducting cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Hands‑on experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SAP ERP; experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, semiconductor, or other high‑volume manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control methodologies, FIFO, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy best practices.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

  • Ability to perform physical inventory counts across warehouse, receiving, production, and quality areas.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Combination of office, warehouse, and manufacturing floor environments.
  • Frequent interaction with warehouse personnel, production teams, and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support multiple operational locations.
