Job summary

Compal USA Technology Inc. seeks a Warehouse Lead to direct daily warehouse operations, ensure accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials supporting manufacturing, and coach a team to peak performance.

The candidate will bring 3–5 years in manufacturing warehousing, ERP/WMS experience, and forklift certification to maintain inventory accuracy, safety, and timely material flow across Georgetown and Taylor facilities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1–2 years of experience leading or coordinating warehouse personnel.
• Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse operations.
• Experience using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, JD Edwards, or similar).
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, replenishment, shipping, and inventory transactions.
• Assign daily work priorities and monitor team performance to meet production and shipping schedules.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to manufacturing lines to prevent production downtime.
• Verify that inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain organized warehouse locations and optimize material flow throughout the facility.
• Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to warehouse associates.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety requirements, and material handling practices.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with scheduling, workload balancing, and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Promote safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a clean and organized work environment using 5S principles.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and material flow.
• Assist with warehouse layout improvements and process standardization.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track warehouse KPIs, including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, productivity, and on-time delivery.

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials that support manufacturing operations. This role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse associates while maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting production through timely material flow.

The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, strong inventory control knowledge, ERP/WMS experience, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Lead daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, replenishment, shipping, and inventory transactions.

• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure accurate ERP/WMS transactions for all inventory movements.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and maintain FIFO, lot traceability, and material identification requirements.
• Support inventory reconciliation and physical inventory activities.
• Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to warehouse associates.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety requirements, and material handling practices.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with scheduling, workload balancing, and performance feedback.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Promote safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a clean and organized work environment using 5S principles.
• Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials, ESD-sensitive products, and other controlled inventory where applicable.

Process Improvement

• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track warehouse KPIs, including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, productivity, and on-time delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working with barcode scanners, RF devices, and handheld inventory systems.
• Familiarity with Kanban, Min/Max inventory, and pull systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Ability to bend, reach, climb, and perform repetitive material handling tasks.
• Work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
