Job summary

Compal USA Technology is launching new manufacturing operations in Taylor, Texas. This role leads startup and ramp‑up of warehouse execution and material flow, establishing repeatable processes to support manufacturing as operations scale.

You will work with Operations, Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics to ensure materials are received, moved, staged, kitted, and delivered accurately and on time, with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in Warehouse Operations or Materials Management.
  • Hands‑on experience with receiving, put‑away, picking, kitting, and internal material movements.
  • Manufacturing or production‑support experience.
  • Exposure to new facility launches or production ramps preferred.
  • Understanding of warehouse system transactions linked to physical operations.
  • Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement concepts.
  • ERP/MRP experience; SAP preferred.

The Materials and Warehouse Operations Manager supports the launch, ramp‑up, and ongoing execution of physical warehouse and material movement operations at Compal’s Taylor facility. This hands‑on role manages daily warehouse activities and helps establish efficient, repeatable processes to support manufacturing as operations scale.

The position requires adaptability and strong execution skills in a startup and ramp‑up environment, where warehouse processes, layouts, and workflows are being built and refined.

About the Job

Compal is launching new manufacturing operations in Taylor, Texas. This role plays a key part in establishing stable warehouse execution and material flow during startup and early production ramps.

This person will work closely with Operations, Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to ensure materials are received, moved, staged, kitted, and delivered accurately and on time. The focus is on physical warehouse execution and system transaction accuracy, rather than inventory planning or ownership.

Role & Responsibilities
Launch & Warehouse Operations
  • Support the startup and ramp‑up of warehouse and material movement activities.
  • Assist with warehouse layouts, workflows, and material handling paths.
  • Adapt processes as volumes, schedules, and priorities change during ramp‑up.
  • Identify and address material flow and execution issues.
Daily Warehouse Execution
  • Capable of managing receiving, put‑away, storage, picking, kitting, staging, and/or shipping.
  • Ensure timely and accurate material delivery to production.
  • Maintain safe, organized warehouse and staging areas.
  • Support the development and use of standard work.
Material Movements & Transactions
  • Ensure all physical material movements are accurately and timely transacted in the ERP system.
  • Coordinate internal material transfers between warehouse and production areas.
  • Support resolution of transaction or movement errors.
  • Reinforce alignment between physical execution and system discipline.
  • Ability to track and report key warehouse KPIs, including on‑time receiving, picking/kitting performance, and delivery to production.
  • Use data to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in Lean and continuous improvement efforts focused on material flow and efficiency.
  • Capable of providing direction and support to warehouse personnel.
  • Assist with onboarding and training as the team scales.
  • Promote safety, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate closely with Planning, Production, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics teams.
Experience Compal Is Looking to Add

  • Experience in startup, scale‑up, or rapid‑growth manufacturing environments.
  • Background in electronics manufacturing,
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred.
