Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Shift: Day Shift 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Starting Pay: $20.00

Dura-Line is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist in our manufacturing plant in Gainesville, TX, to coordinate activities using a computerized control system to track inventory, monitor processes, and maintain accurate inventory control records. The role involves conducting scheduled cycle counts on raw materials and finished goods, monitoring inventory transactions, investigating discrepancies, and preparing reports to optimize inventory management.

What will you be doing?

  • Resolving issues with process control sheets to maintain accurate inventory balances
  • Reviewing production orders for accurate inventory movement before marking them as Technically Complete (TECO)
  • Maintaining accurate inventory balances by reviewing stock levels against established or demand-based levels
  • Performing regular cycle count operations, including weekly Resin, Regrind & Additives (RRA) counts, monthly finished goods counts, and other scheduled counts
  • Reviewing on-hand inventory in storage locations to ensure accuracy and proper inventory turns
  • Investigating inventory inaccuracies and implementing corrective actions
  • Managing documents for interplant material transfers and updating inventory transactions accordingly
  • Monitoring the return of materials into raw inventory after production
  • Tracking material disposition through return authorization and freight claim processes

What will help you be successful in this role?

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, V-Lookups, and MS Office
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail with creative and analytical thinking
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in inventory control/management or supply chain within manufacturing (preferred)
  • Experience with lean principles and ERP systems like SAP (preferred)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with ISO Quality Management Systems (preferred)

  • Sign-on bonus: $500 after 90 days and $1,000 after 180 days!
