Overview

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for conducting quality control reviews for various products and services for multiple Credit Union departments and business units. This position serves as a member of the first line of defense, reviewing, monitoring, tracking, and reporting in accordance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Pay range: $26.02 - $30.42/hr with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in all activities.
  • Provides excellent member service (internal and external).
  • Works collaboratively with team members and across departments.
  • Maintains confidentiality of member information.
  • Supports diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Follows all relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Stays informed about Credit Union products and services.
  • Designs and maintains quality control review plans.
  • Creates and updates procedures for quality reviews.
  • Conducts independent quality control reviews.
  • Records findings and reports on accuracy and defects.
  • Prepares detailed quality control reports.
  • Supports process improvements and training initiatives.
  • Recommends solutions to mitigate errors based on review findings.
  • Assists with training new and existing staff.
  • Possesses a good understanding of retail banking operations and deposit products/services.
  • Supports internal audits and compliance requests.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 2+ years of financial industry experience.
  • Experience in banking compliance preferred.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of lending and deposit accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across departments.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Bondable status required.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to SVP/Payment, Card and Deposit Services.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not supervise others.
