Job summary

Tenneco in Indiana is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage cycle counts, reconcile to the ERP system, and ensure accuracy across substrates. You will lead reconciliations, analyze variances, and drive solutions in a manufacturing setting.

As a backup to Materials Supervisor and S&R, you will support process controls, safety, and continuous improvement while coordinating with multiple teams to maintain top inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years in manufacturing or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word and Lotus Notes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Team player able to coordinate with multiple business units.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts and reconcile to inventory system.
• Analyze variances and implement corrective actions.
• Reconcile counts and prepare adjustment paperwork.
• Provide training and maintain process controls for accuracy.
• Back up Materials Supervisor and S&R as needed.
• Support audit readiness and documentation.
• Lead cross-functional teams to address inventory errors.
