Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Allen, TX is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist II to join Kelly Professional & Industrial’s team. The role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, performing cycle counts, and driving ERP-based discrepancy resolution.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in inventory control, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Oracle ERP, Excel, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a first-shift opportunity in a manufacturing environment with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in inventory control, inventory management, warehouse operations or manufacturing inventory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Proficient with ERP systems and inventory transaction management, with Oracle preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Data Analysis, Conditional Formatting) and PowerPoint/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts, inventory audits, and location accuracy reviews to maintain inventory integrity.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies within ERP systems.
• Analyze inventory transactions to identify root causes of variances.
• Support production teams by addressing inventory shortages and discrepancies promptly.
• Generate inventory metrics, variance reports, and leadership reporting.
• Collaborate with Operations, Production, Shipping, Receiving, Quality, and Finance.
• Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and warehouse processes.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end inventory activities.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced inventory team members.

What’s a typical day as Inventory Control Specialist II? You’ll be:

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have 3+ years of experience in inventory control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or manufacturing inventory
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies
• Are proficient with ERP systems and inventory transaction management (Oracle experience preferred)
• Demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Data Analysis, Conditional Formatting, Inventory Reporting), as well as proficiency with PowerPoint and Outlook
• Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Can effectively communicate and collaborate across multiple departments
• Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a production/warehouse environment
• Hold Inventory Control Specialist certification or have relevant supply chain coursework (preferred)
• Bring experience in electronics manufacturing, repair operations, or continuous improvement projects (preferred)
