Job summary

Transwest Inc. in Brighton, CO seeks an Inventory Control and Purchasing Administrator to act as the linchpin between the Parts Department, management, and the physical inventory.

You will ensure our branch has exactly what it needs to support customers in a fast-paced heavy-duty parts environment. The role demands 4+ years in inventory control or purchasing, strong data-entry and organizational skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in inventory control or purchasing.
• Background in heavy‑duty, medium‑duty, or trailer parts preferred.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with cross‑functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze procurement decisions and advise on inventory management best practices.
• Review and process purchase orders for customers and stocking inventory.
• Coordinate with suppliers to process returns for non-moving or non-inventory product.
• Oversee inventory workflow to maintain accurate data.
• Provide elite support to branch staff on purchases and returns.
• Assist AP with matching invoices to inventory receipts.
• Follow up on active orders, resolve issues, and document quality concerns.
• Collaborate with the parts manager to drive sales and share product knowledge.
• Assist with physical inventory and special projects as needed.
