Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage stock accuracy at Riverside (and Fontana) facilities. The role supports production by ensuring material availability, accurate locations, and timely transactions in Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities include daily audits, cycle counts, and variance investigations, with ongoing opportunities to participate in continuous improvement and reporting of stock levels and variances to management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (required).
• Experience managing raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Comfortable working on the production floor and in warehouse settings.
• Basic Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit finished stock and consumables at Riverside and Fontana locations and report discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods in D365.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Execute inventory transactions in D365 (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments).
• Support production with material availability and accurate inventory locations.
• Identify root causes of variances and support corrective actions.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production on inventory flow.
• Track material movement, lot control, and traceability.
• Assist with audits and continuous improvement of inventory accuracy.
• Communicate with Operations, Finance, Planning, Foundry, QA, CI, etc.
• Participate in inventory counting procedures for audits.
• Report stocking item availability and inventory levels weekly for replenishment.
• Assist with reporting and distribution of supply chain metrics.
• Suggest process improvements to improve accuracy.
