Job summary

Siemens Fort Worth, Texas facility seeks an experienced Inventory Control Manager to oversee inventory, optimize costs, and minimize shortages. You will lead a team, use SAP and IT tools, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

You’ll drive the site’s inventory control program, perform root cause analyses, and support logistics with actionable insights to improve storage, cycle times, and overall performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar.
• Minimum five years of Inventory Manager experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with inventory management software and forecasting strategies.
• Expert SAP experience.
• Experience with tracking and data analysis; product and inventory management certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the inventory control team and ensure all operational activities are on track (cycle counting, COGI reconciliation, physical material storage setup, Control Audits).
• Drive the inventory control program across the site for SKUs with stakeholder support and compliance.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues affecting inventory inaccuracy and partner with stakeholders to eliminate them.
• Support the Logistics Manager with analytic insights to drive logistics optimization (inventory accuracy, storage utilization, cycle times).
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction projects across the supply chain.
• Work with IT to leverage SAP and other systems and identify improvements.
• Process reports and analysis to identify trends and patterns to reduce discrepancies.
• Oversee inventory integrity and timely updates through IT systems.
• Participate in organizing stock takes.
