Observable Space in Adrian, Michigan seeks an Inventory Control Manager to oversee accuracy, integrity, and movement of company-owned inventory across manufacturing operations. This leadership role drives cycle counts, ensures proper inspection before release, and maintains ERP transactions for reliable production planning.

The successful candidate will lead the inventory and incoming-inspection teams, collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Engineering, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in inventory control or materials management with supervisory responsibility.
• Experience using an ERP/MRP system to manage inventory transactions, locations, and traceability.
• Knowledge of cycle counting, physical inventory, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical ability and cross-functional collaboration.
• APICS/CSCP or related professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accuracy for raw materials, purchased components, WIP, finished goods, consumables, and customer material.
• Maintain cycle-count schedules using ABC classification and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure all receiving, stocking, transfers, picks, issues, and adjustments are recorded at transaction time.
• Coordinate physical inventories and audits with timely reconciliation.
• Lead inventory-control personnel and foster a professional, service-oriented culture.
